ckburch:

My sci-fi/horror novel, The Icarus Void, is currently free to download over on Amazon.com through tomorrow. It’s kinda cool to see how many times it gets downloaded, because when it’s free, it’s all about exposure and getting it out there. But check this out: the first pic is how it’s doing on Amazon. The second is how it’s doing on Amazon UK.

The Brits love me. That’s awesome.

Meanwhile, if you have a mind and Icarus looks kinda cool, give this a reblog and spread the word. Wanna know what some fine folks have said about the book? Check this out:

“Honestly, it is rarely that proper, grown-up Sci-Fi this good comes along and if you only read one Science-Fiction novel this year, really it needs to be this one!” (five stars out of five) - The TBR Pile

“The tale is filled with twists and turns that keep this reader eagerly turning pages. Burch masterfully builds the tension to a stunning ending.” (five stars out five) - Readers Favorite Book Reviews

“If you like Event Horizon, The Abyss, Aliens and movies/stories of that ilk you will like this. I found the plot was fantastic and the story really kept my attention - I couldn’t put it down.” (four stars out of five) - P.E. Hayden, Amazon.co.uk user

The landing page for the website I am developing for a friend.  Pretty basic but haven’t really got the skills (yet - hopefully) to cover it in PS/Pixelmator images its 99.99% CSS.
The site will also house my first Jquery script.

Me: You haven’t paid me in awhile, do you think you can write me a check today?

Client: No, I’ve run out of money.

Me: But last week you told me I could invoice you weekly.

Client: Yes, and you can.  What’s your point?

Me: It’s been a few weeks. I’m working every day for you and keeping careful track of my hours and submitting an invoice at the end of every week, under the assumption I’ll get paid for my work.

Client: I said you could invoice me, I never said I could pay you.

This Looks Shopped of the Day: If the web guys at Iran’s semi-official Mehrs News Agency wanted to give a subtle nod to Star Wars Day (May the fourth be with you!), they should have chosen better than a hack Photoshop job of Jar Jar Binks.
